VERY Important things to note!
- If you do not come for Robotics during one of the Wednesdays, during the next Robotics training you have to give an MC or a letter. Or else you do not have a valid reason and will be sent for detention. This is SERIOUS. Do not take this lightly.
- I will be posting the update on whether there is Robotics or not each week on a Monday evening. Please comment that you have noted this post and sign off with your name.

A very important post to note for the rest of the week(31 May - 4 May 2010)
Dear Robotiers,
So...
- All 5 days from the 31st to the 4th will be occupied for Robotics, so don't you dare be absent.
- Everyday we would be bringing every single stuff that we have FOR VEX, unless you leave them in Rulang the first day.
- Since I mentioned Rulang, I shall tell you about what will happen. We will be assembling in SST, most likely in the ICT Hub, since everything is inside. Then, our destination would be Rulang, so prepare your own water and stuff. Don't worry if your robot is not finished, no one's is. We will be continuing our construction tomorrow in Rulang.
- Most likely our Macbooks would not be needed, as the programming that we have to do are only able to be done on Windows. However, you are allowed to bring your Macs as quoted from Mr Yeo, and the question I asked was this : do we need our macs for tomorrow?
10:27pmHis reply:
nope. but u all can bring... to use in boredom and for online research.
So there you go, the answer for permission to bring our Macbooks is right in front of your screen.
- For people who went to China, I know there aren't many in Robotics who went, but here's what happened. We got the aluminum structure kits for our robots, as well as a set of high strength gears each for our start in building the mechanism and the basket/pan.
Well, tomorrow is a fresh new day and although its already 10pm+, I have to say this: sleep well and have a good holiday!(After the Robotics Competition, that is)
*Yawn* Going to sleep...
Signing off

SST Robotic Club's logo and What I want to achieve in robotics - Christopher Nah :D
Here is a logo that I have made for SST's Robotic Club.
What this logo is all about:
This logo represents us, as a team, working together to excel greatly in robotics. We will have excellent teamwork, friendship, love and care for each other. The big and 'heavy' puzzle pieces stands for everyone on the robotics club has a BIG part to do and it is not easy, each and everyone of the robotics club will need to put in lots of effort upholding School of Science and Technology, Singapore's name and image. We will need to listen and follow our teachers' coaching. If the puzzle has one less piece, or a spoiled piece, the whole 'picture' of our robotics club will be ruined. The choice of a circle puzzle also suggests a globe, meaning School of Science and Technology being a globally connected institution of science and technology achieved through us making a good worldwide-famous robotics club.
The 'headings' of the logo, namely Achieve Excellence, Strive for Attitude, Globally Connected, Empowered Leaders is what the robotics club is working towards. The background just means that we are technologically advanced.
Below is what I want to achieve in robotics:
What do I want to achieve in robotics?
I want to make School of Science and Technology, Singapore internationally recognized by being able to achieve 1st in Singapore in National competitions and also International competitions through excellent teamwork, friendship, love and care and obviously handwork and teacher's coaching. I would also want to learn more about different types of robots and different modes of competition. To achieve cups and trophies for School of Science and Technology, Singapore is also what I want to achieve in robotics.
Thank you.
