The Robotics Club training for this June Holidays are as follows:

Mon 31 May 2010 -  Wed 2 Jun 2010 8:30am (Training)  

8:45am Leave SST to Rulang Pri, 

4:30pm leave Rulang Pri to SST.

Thu 3 Jun 2010 -  Fri 4 Jun 2010 8:30am (Competition)

A very important post to note for the rest of the week(31 May - 4 May 2010)

Dear Robotiers,

Sorry for posting some of these information this late. Most of you should know already, unless you did not listen nor read the information given.

So...

- All 5 days from the 31st to the 4th will be occupied for Robotics, so don't you dare be absent.

- Everyday we would be bringing every single stuff that we have FOR VEX, unless you leave them in Rulang the first day.

- Since I mentioned Rulang, I shall tell you about what will happen. We will be assembling in SST, most likely in the ICT Hub, since everything is inside. Then, our destination would be Rulang, so prepare your own water and stuff. Don't worry if your robot is not finished, no one's is. We will be continuing our construction tomorrow in Rulang.

- Most likely our Macbooks would not be needed, as the programming that we have to do are only able to be done on Windows. However, you are allowed to bring your Macs as quoted from Mr Yeo, and the question I asked was this : do we need our macs for tomorrow?

So there you go, the answer for permission to bring our Macbooks is right in front of your screen.

- For people who went to China, I know there aren't many in Robotics who went, but here's what happened. We got the aluminum structure kits for our robots, as well as a set of high strength gears each for our start in building the mechanism and the basket/pan.

Well, tomorrow is a fresh new day and although its already 10pm+, I have to say this: sleep well and have a good holiday!(After the Robotics Competition, that is)

*Yawn* Going to sleep...

Important Dates to Remember!

This Friday: ICT Hub will be open after school at 12.30 pm till 5.00pm.

Next Thursday: ICT Hub will also be open after school ends. It will be an actual Robotics training day. Do not miss it.

May 31st, June 1st and June 2nd: Preparations for VEX Competition.

June 3rd and 4th: VEX Competition.

14th May Robotics Meeting. Please read.

We will be holding another meeting for robotics on this Friday, in the Library. Library, remember that. We will be discussing on the Robotics Logo, vision of Robotics and so on. The timing will be 12.45 pm, after school. It will take about 30 minutes, then everyone can leave after that.

Please finish updating your robotics logo by then and think of the proposed people that you want to have in the EXCO committee.

Tomorrow, 11th of May, Tuesday, we have a meeting during lunch at the grassy area with benches. Mr Yeo will be there. Do not be late. Every one of the Robotics students have to go.

Edit: Ok thanks everyone for coming. For those that did not come, here's what we did. We were given a form by Mr Yeo for The NJRC . We have to form a group with at least 4 Robotiers. Please find yourself a group and return the form to Mr Yeo. If you need the competition form, you can get it from Mr Yeo. Have your logo updated by tomorrow, for selection. VEX training will commence tomorrow, thus only releasing us at 4.30 pm.

Updated Robotics Logo

Idea received from Mr Yeo's Logo. I saw him make a robot body like that during our Robotics class on 4th May and came up with this! Thanks Mr Yeo. Please comment on the logo. Thanks.

Edit: The "blacks" are removed and changed to white. Arrangements are more different. The top one is the new version, bottom picture is the previous version. Edited through Mr Yeo's comments.

Edit 2: Arrangement changed again. Box added. SST logo changed from robot body to text box.
