  1. 1. I felt that we had insufficient time to complete the robot and "know" the robot.
    2. I needed co-operation of other group members
    3. I could fixed a front mechanism to push in the balls, but there was not enough time.
    4. Have a club gathering..

  2. 1. I felt that this competition was a rush as we had only about a week to prepare, build, program and train for it. However, I still think that this competition was a good learning experience because we would know what to do in future competitions.
    2. I think that we have done well as a first timer for robotics competitions in the speed part as we did quite well (sliver for a few categories) in one week.
    3. I could have done better in helping the rest. I only did what was necessary and not extra. If I had put in the extra effort, my team might have won something. Also, I or my team could have participated in the programming skills side-event. We did not realize we could take part.
    4. We could improve our relationships by forming teams with different people each time to know them better.

  3. 1. I feel that even though we got a silver for the main competition and gold for the judges award, it is not enough - just because we did not found out that the wire had come out, we lost one match and we could have win the match
    2. I tried my best in not angering Justin
    3. I could have done better by not talking so much crap and helping put more
    4. We could have have a celebration party for the latest win

  4. I felt that we were not given enough time to complete building the robot as we were rushing to finish it on the day of the competition because our robot broke down. One thing I have done well in the competition is that I helped a lot in the building and some of the planning. One thing I could have done better is to have been more accurate and plan well before building he mechanism as it broke down after 2 matches because I did not arrange the gears well and I did not tighten the nuts properly and some of the parts well off and loosened the mechanism. Something I can do to improve my relationship with my club members is by working with them more and give way to some of their mistakes, and try not to irritate them.

  5. This competition had greatly proved that I serious could not build well without instruction. Without our instructor's help, I could not do anything constructive. From this competition, I feel that VEX is not my type. Meaning that I will not do well in it. But, I am happy that I had such helpful teammates to help me build the robot. When we finally got our instruction, I finally managed to do something constructive. I built the base and it did not pose any problems to the robot. However, I should had learn with my friend on how to do the mechanisms as the mechanisms posed the MOST problems to the whole progress. If I had learnt and build the mechanisms, I think that there should be lesser problems posed. Lastly, I strongly believe that all the groups' problems, quarrel and etc etc. Belongs to lack of communication. Therefore I think that we should increase our relationship with my club members. We could talk with my friends, communicate. Most importantly, we must help one another and talk to each other more often. Through this, we will therefore be able to improve our relationship and perform better for our competition.

  6. I feel that this competition is a good learning experience for me. It is fun, exciting yet difficult and tedious. This competition has allowed myself to explore the different solutions and strategies a simple game like this can have.

Through this competition, I know that I can pick up things fast, like the programming of VEX. Although it is slightly more complicated than NXT, it is simple to understand, maybe it is just because I have understood the basics of it.

Also, I have found out that I tend to over-look small details that can cause major problems. Like how the wire came unplugged in our second match. After this, I've learnt that everything counts, big or small. A small mistake is a start to a disaster.

I think that to improve our relationship towards each other, we have to avoid disagreements. Avoiding disagreements would mean that there must be agreements. There is bound to be disagreements in a team, so the appropriate ways to settle them should be used. Example, before deeming an idea as bad, list down the advantages and disadvantages of it. Like a History essay, there should be a criteria to be considered. So, the person will not feel bad.

  7. How do I feel about this competition?
I feel that it is a good experience for all of us, especially to let us understand the competition we are facing from other schools.

What is one/more things that I have done well?
I maintained the robot after every match.

What is one/more things that I could have done better?
I could have checked the robot more thoroughly (motors, batteries) and try not to lose so many parts (spanner).

How can I improve on my relationship with members of the club?
I can understand their situation better, for example asking them how they want to robot to be and getting the facts right before building. Lack of communication leads to unnecessary work, such as the building of the “basket”; when non of us knew how the robot worked and we started building it, we built it a total of 9 times.

  8. How do I feel about this competition?
I felt that although our time with a robot was not enough, it was still a great experience through this competition.

What is the one or more thing(s) that I have done well?
I tried to be enthusiastic throughout the whole competition.

What is the one or more thing(s) that I could have done better?
I could have helped my team members more in maintenance.

How can I improve on my relationship with members of our Robotics Club?
I should consider their feelings before I speak and communicate better with them.

  9. How do I feel about this competition?
I felt that even though we did not get enough time on the robot and we(our group) did not get any prizes, it was a good experience for all of us.

What is the one or more thing(s) that I have done well?
I tried my best to keep our group's spirit up, even though morale was going down.

What is the one or more thing(s) that I could have done better?
I could have spent more time tightening the screws on the robot and not lose that many parts(even though they were eventually found).

How can I improve on my relationship with members of our Robotics Club?
I could try to communicate more with members of other teams and probably help them if they have any difficulties.
(p.s. sorry that this is posed on Monday, was busy during the weekend)

  10. How do I feel about this competition? I feel that this competition was a good learning experience to understand more about robotic competitions. One thing I have done well was to help with the constructing contributing of ideas. One thing that I could have done better was to ensure that all the wires were plugged in properly as the wires being loose caused us to lose a match. We can improve communication by listening more to others suggestions, and not commenting on it until they are done explaining.

  11. 1) I feel that I had tried my best to help my team to win the competition. Though we were at the 2nd place among the whole Singapore for the secondary level, we were still quite happy from our result as this was the first time we had this VEX competition for SST.

    2) I have controlled the robot well enough to make full use of the robot’s function and ability to get the maximum result we can ever achieve.

    3) I could have help Justin to get along with Zhang Bo.

    4) We could have held a celebration for our success.

  12. 1. How do I feel about this competition?
I feel that this competition is an awesome experience for all SST's pioneers. It introduces us to VEX and let us explore some of its unique functions as compared to other robots. We also brainstormed hard in this competition to find possible ways of navigating, grabbing the balls as well as throwing it. More importantly, we all learned teamwork in this competition as we know more about each other's strengths and weaknesses and collaborated better. This competition also prepares us for all upcoming competitions and challenges. For me, I gained lots of experience of construction, programming and operating in VEX. I wish to further learn more about this robot as I am still confused about some of the functions of VEX.

    2. What is the one or more thing(s) that I have done well?
Learning construction, programming and operating in a short time, being able to finish the whole robot with few members, trying to collaborate with my teammates and getting 2nd in Best Programming Skills in the competition.

    3. What is the one or more thing(s) that I could have done better?
My commitment during the competition - I could have spent more time on my robot instead of eating and chatting, coming earlier to start on my robot. The amount of useless stuff that I say or do in the competition can be lessen as it irritates my teammates and other members of the robotic club including Mr Yeo. Working or doing things faster in the competition especially packing up to not delay the robotics club. Packing my robot and other parts my systematically so that it will be easier for me and my teammates to find the parts when needed. Relying lesser on the coaches and teachers and doing more of the jobs by myself. Being more conscious during the matches so that I know what my opponents and alliances are doing for me to make the appropriate actions to win the match. Being more confident of myself during the competition. Going to the websites to research more about this competition before really going to compete as I did not really know much about this competition's rules and regulations. Taking more care of the school's property during tea and lunch break. Being a better leader of the team and assign roles to my teammates more equally.

4 .How can I improve on my relationship with members of our Robotics Club?
The amount of useless stuff that I say or do in the competition can be lessen as it irritates my teammates and other members of the robotic club including Mr Yeo. My commitment during the competition - I could have spent more time on my robot instead of eating and chatting, coming earlier to start on my robot so that the members of the robotics club does not think that I am slacking. Taking more care of the school's property during tea and lunch break so that members of the robotics club would feel that I am responsible. Packing my robot and other parts my systematically so that it will be easier for me and my teammates to find the parts when needed would let members of the robotics club think that I am more neat and systematic when doing things so that more peoples would look forward to working together with me and my teammates would also work better with me.

Sorry for submitting in late. I was outside for the past few days. :(

  13. I think that it was a wonderful experience although there wasn't sufficient time for us to prepare all the stuffs.
I think I had done pretty well in constructing the robot.
I think I should have communicate and cooperate with my team better.
I think we could like have a outing or play some games during breaks to improve our relationship.

  14. 1)How do I feel about this competition?
This competition is a new experience for me as I have never done VEX robotics before. This was quite a hard competition as I feel that we did not have enough time to build and program our robot to it best ability, and furthermore, I was away on an immersion trip to China and had missed valuable training time which I kind of regret.

2)What is one /more things that I have done well?
I could have focused more on working

3)What is one /more things that I feel that I could do better?
I could have improved my attitude.

4)How can I improve my relationship with the member of the club?
I will try to listen to them and no irritate them.
